Earlier this month, nearly 100 fire risk assessors and engineers travelled from across the country to join us for the RiskBase Networking Drinks 2026 at Madison in central London. With good food, a few drinks and views across St Paul's Cathedral, it was a great opportunity to catch up with familiar faces, meet new ones and bring the RiskBase community together.

But the most valuable part of the evening wasn't the view. It was hearing directly from our customers about the relationships they've built with our team and the support they receive throughout the year.

More than software support

Feedback from the evening reinforced the importance of having people on the other end of the phone who understand the work our customers do. Our account managers and support team work closely with assessors, helping them get the most out of RiskBase and supporting their businesses as they grow.

Customers spoke about the value of having a team they can call or email, who know their business and are available to talk things through face to face. They also recognised the way our team supports the wider industry, including organisations competing with one another.

For us, that's an important part of what makes the RiskBase community work. Bringing people together creates space to share experiences, discuss challenges and build relationships that extend beyond day-to-day support.

Listening and improving

The evening was also an opportunity to hear what our customers want to see next. Feedback continues to shape how RiskBase develops, from new templates for DSEAR and HTM 05 requirements to the growing use of our retrospective fire strategy tool.

These conversations help us understand what assessors need on the ground, where their processes could work better and how we can continue to support them.

A big thank you to everyone who joined us, including those who travelled considerable distances to be there. We're proud of the team that makes these relationships possible, and grateful to the customers who take the time to share their experiences and ideas with us.

We'll look forward to seeing everyone again next year.
